Pesticides are substances used in agriculture to combat those organisms that are harmful to crops.
There exist several types:
- herbicides intended to rid farmland of weeds,
- insecticides, which help fight off pest insects,
- fungicides, which do away with the fungi that cause mould,
- parasiticides, which that kill parasite worms.
Pesticides include synthetic chemical substances and natural products said to be born of “bio-control”, which stimulate the biological processes of plants or soil. This is why we guarantee our products to be without synthetic pesticides, from the flower to the plate. For example, as in organic farming, sulphur can be used because it is a natural pesticide.
